Summer is just around the corner!! we introduce 2 Japanese events for next week.
on July. 13th Toro-Nagashi(floating of lighted lanterns on the water) will be held at Chidorigafuchi, close to the Imperial Palace. and also Mitama Matsuri(Soul festival) will be held in Yasukuni shrine, next to Chidorigafuchi from July. 13t to July. 16th, feafures a parade of mikoshi, japanese dance and music.

There is a Chinese lantern plant fair(Hozuki ichi) in Sensoji Temple on July. 9th and 10th.
hundreds od street stalls sell hozuki and wind chimes from 9am-10pm. it is very nice atmosphere. you should go there!!

From June. 6th through June. 8th, there is a Japanese festival in this neighborhood. You can join the festival and carry Mikoshi, the portable shrine if you like.

This weenkend in Asakusa, there is "Ueki Ichi",potted plants fair.
It will be held from 12:00 to 22:00 on Saturday and Sunday.it is one of the biggest potted plant fairs in Tokyo.

This Sunday, May 25th. There is an event in Asakusa again. You can see a demonstration of ladder acrobatics around noon in Sensouji temple.

One of the three biggest festival in Tokyo, the Sanja matsuri will start from tomorrow May 16th until Sunday May. 18th.There is a parade and a traditional dance show in Sensoji temple from Friday afternoon. Saturday and Sunday, a of hundred portable shrines are going around the town of Asakusa.it will be very exciting weekend you can't miss it!!
